Understanding Use of Technology for Teaching and Learning English

I've gotta work hard for my last semester in English and Foreign Languages University Hyderabad India due to the fact that I'm about to drop two courses and improve the mark of a course. This semester I start with Understanding use of tehcnology in second language teaching and learning which is taught by Dr, Kshema Jose (KJ). This course requires familiarity with use of internet and basic MS word knowledge. The teacher started questioning why we need to use technology -internet- to teach and learn English. Well, these days we cannot avoid technology. We live with it now. Through internet we can explore the world only by using a finger of ours. We nearly find everything there, even some users say that people in the world now have two best teachers that can tell us everything, anwer all our questions, and show off how to do something by giving some examples. They are Google and Youtube.

Regarding to the course offered by Dr. KJ, we are obliged to visit Learn English Online (Unit 12 lesson 55) and questgarden.com and do the tasks provided there. In addition, she wants us to look at the nature of each activity, the objective, its mode of delivery, adn the nature of learning. Unfortunately the second link has no complete content.
The first link is talking about food and making arrangements. The first article tells us that in UK, in every direction of our eyes looking at something, there must be about food. Food has been one of pop culture for people. In fact, as if every English people turn into a foody. In addition to food in England, this article provides a video uploaded from Youtube which show an England chef, Nigella Lawson, making a, apparently, delicious puding..hmm...yummy.

The second article is talking about making arrangement of dinner party in UK. There are two people, Frank and Nicole, conversing about holding a dinner party. Frank has been out to dinner many times. He wants to make one and invite people. He starts asking about this idea to Nicole and seems that she supports her. From the conversation, we can see that they really think of how to comfort the guests. One of the ideas is that to not make them waiting too long for the food to heat up. At this idea, Nicole makes fun of Frank by saying that the guests can all help her to lay the new tiles in my bathroom. lol.
Last but not least there is a task in the bottom of the article which is directed to this link and this is a very nice multiple choices task informing about food.
